Since Pixavi was established in 1999 (as VisiWear) we have released a range of successful products into the market.
The focus on innovation and R&D has driven our technology and knowhow to a point where we are in the position to lower product development cycle and thereby continue releasing groundbreaking and cutting edge products in a demanding market space.
1999: Christian Rokseth wrote a Master's Degree thesis which was the fundament for an invention of a wireless video audio, video and data collaboration system. He loaned funds from the bank to build a working prototype and Pixavi was established the same year.
2000: The ST 1000 product featured a completely integrated video collaboration system featuring two way video and audio, a high quality LCD display, touch panel for image sharing and collaboration, auto focus and 802.11b wireless networking. It was the world’s first commercially available product to feature real time video transmission over WiFi network.
2001: Building on the ST 1000, the EX 2000 was the world’s first EX certified wireless
video collaboration product. The product enabled the use of rich communication from hazardous area within the Oil, Gas and chemical industries.
2002: Pixavi introduced the CP 3100 system that continued the heritage of the ST 1000 system to provide a more compact system.
2003: Pixavi introduced the Go-Live web based gatekeeper and registration server system. This product was quickly adapted by several customers in need of a streamlined communication infrastructure.
2003: Pixavi introduced the ST3100. This product introduced a light weight dedicated processing system, a head up display, integrated camera, one way video and two way audio.
2004: EX3100. Building on Pixavi's tradition of high quality wireless video conferencing products, this product introduced a light weight dedicated processing system, a head up display, integrated camera, one way video and two way audio. The product was ATEX certified for Zone1 and Zone2.
2004 During ONS 2004, we were short listed for the ONS innovation award. We were selected because of the highly innovative 3100 series product that was introduced in 2003. The Jury pointed out that Pixavi has helped the oil and gas industry rethink the way to perform operations by contributing to cost savings and safety improvements through improved communication and collaboration between onshore and offshore facilities.
2005: EX-ANT-B. The lack of proper infrastructure for hazardous area lead us to develop our own infrastructure products, starting with an ATEX approved rf antenna. This antenna is very popular for creating wlan networks in explosive atmospheres and hazardous areas, both in chemical plants, oil and gas installations and chemical plants.
2006: EX-AP-A. The world’s first ATEX certified access point for use in hazardous environments. This product enables ATEX certified wireless networks on a large scale, without sacrificing signal strength and coverage. The EX-AP-A is a state of the art product that is installed on multiple sites all over the world.
2010: VisiWear 3500 series. Building on our technology tradition all the way since the first prototype back in 1999 and the first commercially available product in 2000 (ST1000), the Xcaster is a natural next step for our video conferencing products. The product maintains the hands free and wearable nature of our products, enabling connectivity to inspection cameras, borescopes, IR cameras, head mounted cameras and handheld cameras as well as head mounted displays.
2010: Xcam HD. A 1080p capable CCTV camera, certified for use in hazardous area. The Xcam HD is a wireless HD surveillance camera that is Explosion proof and optimized for use in Zone 1 applications.
2010: Xcaster 5000 series. Building on our technology tradition all the way since the first prototype back in 1999 and the first commercially available product in 2000 (ST1000), the Xcaster is a natural next step for our video conferencing products. The product puts advanced features into one sleek and rugged package, enabled by the latest innovations in DSP and wireless hardware technology. Pixavi has developed a new and state of the art software architecture "ground up" adopting to the latest video conferencing and internet streaming standards to enable this device as one of the most tech-featured products in the telecommunications industry.
