Easy Installation In Any Environment:

The built-in Front-View™ Setup Wizard makes setting up the ReadyNAS a breeze whether you are an expert or a novice; once setup, ReadyNAS still allows you a full range of advanced controls.

Advanced Internal Data Protection:

With ReadyNAS you can select from the latest technologies to best protect data in your environment:

  • RAID redundancy: Multi-drives means added protection.

  • Data journaling: even after an accidental power-off, power-up is just a few seconds longer than the normal time.

  • Hot spares: if a disk were to die, data from that disk is rebuilt automatically onto the hot spare.

  • Snapshots: schedule a snapshot of a volume at a specified interval.

  • Life support mode: if a second drive is accidentally removed, just shut down, re-add the drive and power it back up; your RAID volume will resume where it left off.

  • Scheduled replication: push data from the NAS onto another NAS or remote site.

  • Shutdown on disk failure automatically shutdown if a disk failure is detected or if the system detects an over-temperature condition.

  • Email alerts: automatic messages letting you know about all major events such as impending quota violations, share changes and hardware problems.

 

Digital Media Streaming:

  • Smart sync resume: if the power goes off during a RAID initialization or parity resync, ReadyNAS continues on power-up right where it left off.
