Intrinsically safe access point

  • Introduction
  • Specifications
  • Certifications

An intrinsically safe access point that provides an excellent alternative to placing the AP in hazardous area. The AP features 802.11n support and allows for the use of a wide range of antennas. The Xpoint I is an economic option for creating wireless networks in explosive atmospheres.

Just Connect POE and antenna cable to install a fully featured wireless network in hazardous area. Any Xbeam-EX antenna can be utilized, enabling supreme flexibility having the choice from a range of omni directional, patch, sector and directional antennas. Using our ultra low loss coax cables you can create comprehensive wireless coverage on a tiny budget.

To explore the full potential of the Xpoint I, we recommend to use Xcable F and Xcable G. These cables have only 7 dB loss pr 100 meters.

NOTE: The Access Point must be located in safe area. It produces an intrinsically safe output for connecting low loss coax cables running to the antenna which is located in hazardous area. Coax cable length can be above 100 meters.
