The DupleX add on is used where Xcaster users want to add full duplex audio when in the streaming mode. The Xcaster already supports full duplex audio via the SIP and H.323 modes, but in the streaming mode the DupleX add on is required on the PC side to encode and transmit audio back to the Xcaster.

Supporting Quicktime, VLC player and Windows Media Player, the Xcaster is a comprehensive streaming device. When streaming high quality, high definition H.264 video from the Xcaster to the Windows Media Player, it has the opportunity of adding an audio return channel and thereby enabling rich communication without the addition of a video conferencing end point. The user only needs to access the stream of the Xcaster from his/her video player of choice.
