What
The vertical video syndrome is cured! Videos will always look good, no matter how you hold it
Your friend in the field
Ruggedized and Ex certified products have always been associated with low performance and outdated technology as well as bulky form factors. We wanted to change that! Our customers came to us and said they wanted the same performance and form factor in their rugged devices as they have in their consumer devices. They also wanted some additional features that no other camera has, and we made it happen. For example, the boot time is just 0,5 seconds, and the dedicated camera button allows the user to quickly and easily take images on the spot. The camera is fitted with a rugged strap mount or increased availability and dropped object safety.
Video and Imaging centric
We designed the camera with touch industrial environments in mind, where battery lifetime, ruggedness, sunlight readability and camera performance are essential. To ensure that the product achieves professional grade photography, we decided to add a dedicated camera button. The button has a two step procedure where the AE parameters are set before you fire the shot, much like your DSLR camera. Video and image samples taken with Gravity X can be viewed here.
Many camera apps available
The Gravity X ships with several camera apps and even more is available on various app stores. This allows the user to customize the camera and have more usage scenarios. For example, you can now have access to apps for remote triggering of images, timed images, landscape shots, time laps and many others.
FlipScape
Did you ever wonder why many mobile videos are shown in a narrow strip in the middle of the video window on Youtube? The reason is that people want to hold their phone with one hand when recording videos. Flipscape solves this. Portrait mode or Landscape mode? It does not matter to Gravity X. Pictures will come out right whatever way you hold the device. The Gravity X changes to the second camera which is rotated 90 degrees compared to the other camera. You can now record landscape videos with one hand and have the other hand free.
Ergonomic features
The Gravity X was designed in cooperation with end users, and based on 13 years of experience within mobile devices for hazardous areas. First of all, the camera has a glove compatible touch touch screen and weight of only 290 grams which allows the users to bring the camera to any environment. The form factor is very attractive, it can easily fit in one hand, and inside a normal pocket. You can get custom covers, cradles and straps for increased usability and safety. The camera also comes with a worlds first feature, the FlipScape.
Double battery capacity
The Gravity X is stuffed with advanced technology in order to offer the best possible performance in a very small form factor. Efficient processors ensures the lowest possible power consumption. We decided to add double the battery capacity compared to consumer devices. A 3000mAh battery ensures many active workdays of power.
Immune to the elements
The Gravity X is ruggedized to an extent that makes it able to take almost any challenge the environment might throw at it. It is impact proof, drop proof, dust proof, corrosion proof and water proof and ability to withstand extreme temperatures. Special glass Sealing method to enable IP68 Gorilla glass (2mm thick) as well as a sunlight readable IPS Display.
Machined from Aluminium
The Gravity X chassis is machined from one piece of high quality Norwegian aluminium in order to provide the ruggedness and high quality feel the product deserves. It is designed in cooperation with offshore workers and descends from a long tradition of Ex certified products designed by BARTEC PIXAVI in Norway.
Android operating system
Android is the leading mobile operating system today. Android enables a high performance media framework and easy to use, intuitive interfaces. The operating system is quick, familiar, and customizable. Android is easily updated, secure and future-proof. There is a growing community of app developers, which allows for customizations and new functionality. The Gravity X is a stripped down version of the Impact X, where we have removed the 3G wireless and SIM card capabilities to enable a lower price. We could easily have called it a mini-tablet, since it has all the same functionality as a Android tablet. The Gravity X does not have a SIM-card slot, and it can therefore be used where cellphones are not allowed. We offer Android 7.1.2 Nougat

Mobile Device Management is included
Device management and information, location tracking, remote wiping, Wi-Fi and password policies as well as multiple user accounts is just a few of the free Collaboration X features available for all PIXAVI users all over the world. The benefit is increased security, transparency and ease of use. You can also download med directly to your computer using Media Library. Get started in less than 5 minutes by creating a free account at collaboration-x.net and associate your device.
Software and Security updates also included
A mobile device is not better than the software it runs. BARTEC PIXAVI mobile device will get free software updates for many years to come. We release security patches shortly after release from Google, making our device the safest on the market. Software updates is important for security, but it also offers new functionality, better battery capacity and user friendliness.
