The Xbeam A EX is an IECEx and ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 approved Explosion Proof Wi-Fi omnidirectional antenna for hazardous areas. The antenna is optimized for use in steel and concrete environments where multipath effects and reflections are present. The antenna can be used for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, dual band Wi-Fi (2,4 + 5 Ghz), bluetooth, zigbee and other Explosion Proof Wi-Fi applications. It is tested to work up to 6 ghz.

The Pixavi Xbeam A EX Explosion Proof Wi-Fi features increased safety (EX-e) protection technology. There are no specific requirements on protection circuitry on the radio it is connected to. In other words, any wireless access point can be used with this antenna. The Explosion Proof Wi-Fi Xbeam A EX is a preferred solution where the access point can be placed in safe zone or safe area and where coax cable lengths does not exceed 30 meters. For cable lengths over 30 meters or for near lossless coverage, we recommend utilizing our EX-AP-A Explosion Proof Wi-Fi access points that can be placed directly in the Ex zone (IECEx and ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2). The antenna is available in 2,4 Ghz, 5 Ghz and dual band versions. For the 2,4 Ghz antenna version we use the Xcable B and for the 5 Ghz antenna version we use the Xcable C.
